Request a Research Appointment

Need more help? Reference librarians are available to meet with students in one-on-one sessions (or in small groups) to discuss research strategies, recommend relevant resources or review specific topics of legal research.

Contact with the subject you're researching and when you would like to meet. A librarian will get back to you to set up an appointment. You can also schedule an appointment on the library homepage by clicking "Schedule an Online Research Appointment." We ask that you request your appointment at least 2 days in advance, but remember that you can always stop by the reference desk for immediate help with a quick research question.

UIC Law Library Libguides were created to assist patrons and researchers. These research guides were not intended to provide legal advice, nor should the included information be relied on for legal purposes.

Department of Veterans Affairs Snapshot

The Department of Veterans Affairs main administrative bodies include the Veterans Benefits Administration that is responsible for VA benefits, the Veterans Health Administration that oversees the VA Healthcare System, and the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) that hears appeals from regional office decisions concerning veterans benefits. There are also additional administrative bodies that oversee other VA programs (e.g., cemetery benefits).  The following presentation provides links to the VA's organizational chart, key VA programs, and administrative bodies:
