Introduction

This research guide provides an overview of resources available through the Louis L. Biro Law Library at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law on the various forms of business entities: corporations (for-profit and non-profit), partnerships, and limited liability companies (LLCs).

  • Legal Statutes and Regulations: Locate relevant state and federal statutes, regulations, and case law governing business entities.

  • Print Resources: Locations within the library and call numbers are provided for print materials.
  • Electronic Resources: Where possible, direct links are provided to online resources.

Accessing Electronic Resources

  • UIC Law Network ID and Password: Current UIC Law students, staff, and faculty can access many electronic resources with their UIC Law network ID and password.
  • Individual User Accounts: Some resources, such as Westlaw and Lexis, require individual user accounts and passwords.
