The US government FDsys provides online access to the U.S.C. While the federal government works incorporating new laws into the code, it warns against relying on the online code. Rather a person should look at the relevant print source for good law.
Code of Federal Regulations (Annual Edition)
The GPO maintains an online archive of the CFR (1996-present printed CFR). See the GPO's e-CFR for an unofficial updated copy of the CFR.
eCFR
The eCFR is a government sponsored project that provides the public with an updated unofficial CFR. New regulations published in the Federal Register are typically incorporated into the eCFR within a few days. For an official CFR copy, consult the print CFR and the Federal Register.
